The renowned wildlife cinematographer, Neil Rettig, embarks on what could be the most challenging assignment of his career: to find and film the Great Philippine Eagle, the rarest eagle in the world. It all started in 1977, when Rettig filmed the first images transforming the bird into a national symbol. Up until today the cinematographer explores the eagles’ vanishing world and reveals the people determined to save it. (Also) a unique piece of wildlife film history.
