THE BILLION-DOLLAR-FISH
ALFRED SCHWARZENBERGER
Austria 2012, 52 min, German
Have you ever heard of a fish who lives in the Danube, but grows bigger than the Great White Shark? Said fish, which also produces the most expensive food this planet can offer, is called Beluga, King of the Danube. This film tells the story of an ancient giant and the desperate struggle of a few scientists to save him from extinction. Shot in fascinating and beautiful but also sad pictures this film portrays the tragic story of maybe the last individuals.
