1. Why does the innsbruck nature film festival offer a film market program?
inff is not only a place to provide the best selection of films to a great audience – it is also a meeting point for filmmakers, producers, distributors, scientists and other professionals who share a passion for stories about nature, our environment and the relationship between humans and the natural world.
With our film industry program, we want to create a space for exchange, inspiration, professional development and new collaborations. Workshops, masterclasses, pitching sessions and networking opportunities bring together established professionals and emerging talents and encourage the exchange of knowledge, ideas and perspectives.
Our aim is to strengthen the „nature film“ community, support the next generation of filmmakers and create opportunities for projects and partnerships to grow.

2. Which projects are presented in the pitching session, and how were they selected?
The pitching session presents a selection of carefully chosen film projects that are currently in development or production and that reflect the diversity and relevance of nature and environmental storytelling AND meet the quality criteria of inff.
Projects were selected through an editorial process based on criteria such as the strength and originality of the story, the project’s connection to nature or environmental themes, its cinematic potential, and the stage of development. We also consider the potential for international collaboration and the opportunity for the project to benefit from professional feedback and industry connections.
The selected projects represent different approaches, perspectives and storytelling formats. By bringing these projects together with experienced industry professionals, we aim to create a constructive environment where ideas can be developed further and new connections can emerge – and a potential future inff-award-winner might result
3. Who can participate in the film market program?
The film market program is aimed at filmmakers and film professionals, including directors, producers, writers, cinematographers, editors, distributors, sales agents and other professionals working in the field of film and documentary.
It is also open to emerging filmmakers, students and early-career professionals who are interested in developing their skills, expanding their network and gaining insights into the international film industry.All industry events are open for accredited industry participants and film industry festival pass holders.

4. What happens during the 1on1 meetings and who should participate?
The 1on1 Meetings give project pitchers the opportunity to receive individual feedback and advice from experienced professionals and experts from the film industry – both on their pitch and on the project itself.The meetings take place in 20-minutes slots, with participants changing partners after each round – similar to speed dating. This format allows everyone to meet and talk to as many different industry professionals as possible within a short period of time.
Who can take part?
The meetings are open to industry experts and professionals who can provide relevant feedback, expertise or a valuable perspective on the projects presented. You do not necessarily need to be a filmmaker – what matters is that you have relevant knowledge or experience that can help a project owner develop their project further.
Our Market Coordinator will organise the matching and schedule the meetings, making sure that project owners are connected with participants whose expertise and experience are relevant to their project.The aim is to create focused, constructive conversations that can help projects move forward. Ideally, the meetings will spark new ideas, reveal different perspectives and open up opportunities for co-production, financing, distribution and marketing strategies. It is also a chance to make valuable personal connections – because sometimes a short conversation is all it takes to open the door to a new collaboration.

Bonnie Williams
Bonnie Williams is a Strategic Communication and Pitch Consultant, supporting international professionals in the audiovisual industries to communicate with clarity and impact. She consults and mentors on pitching, presenting, leadership, collaboration, and visibility — working with filmmakers, creatives, industry leaders, moderators, and experts. Her workshops and panels delve into the human side of international co-production, with a focus on strategic messaging and interpersonal communication.
A returning consultant at SeriesMania Institute & Forum, IDFA Forum, New Producers Academy (Netflix-supported), CEE Animation Forum, IFFR, Serial Killer Festival, TIFF-Ro, NFF-HFM, TIFF Gr & TIDF Agora Docs, and more. She also collaborates with TIFF Toronto; TFLBoostIt, TAICCA, TCCF, Conecta Fiction, AFID Amman, Movies that Matter, Midpoint Institute, WEMW, Going European, and independent productions, among others.
Amsterdam-based and American-born, Bonnie is a former actress and stage director. She also coaches and advises documentary filmmakers on crafting and delivering their personal voiceovers.

Katriel Schory
Katriel Schory studied at the NYU, Film School. An active producer from 1973. 1974 – 1999: Founder and Managing Director of BELFILMS. Produced over 150 films and television programs, including feature films, documentaries, TV dramas and international co-productions.
From 1999 and for more than 20 years the Executive Director of the Israel Film Fund. Authorized the support and the promotion of more than 300 full length narrative feature films, in Israel and worldwide, of which, more than 80 films were international co-productions, mainly with Europe. Among the films he authorized, many won prestigious awards, including 4 “Oscar” nominations for the American Academy; Golden & Silver “Lions” in Venice & “Bears” in Berlin.
Katriel Schory was granted the Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres – France; Berlinale Kamera for Outstanding Contribution to the Film industry; Telluride Film Festival - Special Medallion – for Outstanding achievements; The VARIETY Award for creative impact; the Fiapf – Int’l Federation of Film Producers Association Award; Jerusalem Film Festival - Lifetime achievement award; Israel Film Academy – Lifetime achievement award.
Board Member of the European Film Academy 2017-2023.

Samer Angelone
He is a Swiss-Italian-Syrian filmmaker and scientist. He teaches filmmaking and storytelling at various Swiss universities. He is the founder of the Swiss Science Film Academy and member of the Swiss Association of Film Journalists. He holds dual PhDs in Film Studies and Biology, embodying a special blend of artistic creativity and scientific rigor in his work. OUR WOLVES (2025) marks his directorial debut, showcasing his talents as a producer, cinematographer, and editor.
