The interactive science center mikroVERSUM
invites visitors on a varied journey into the world of the smallest organisms on our planet. Without microorganisms, much of what we rely on wouldn‘t work: the microbiome in forest soil, a cow‘s digestion, our skin‘s protective barrier, and the production of food. They keep ecosystems healthy – and even the oxygen we breathe would be unthinkable without them! In short: without microorganisms, life as we know it today would not exist. At mikroVERSUM, 31 exciting installations invite you to gain a deeper understanding of the world of microorganisms. The exhibition was created in cooperation of the University of Innsbruck
and hollu Systemhygiene GmbH, together with partner institutions.
