An 8-year-old herder’s hopes and hardships unfold in the Andes as mining threatens his village.
Feliciano, an 8-year-old alpaca herder,
feels euphoric: Peru has a chance to qualify
for the World Cup. Meanwhile the pressure
of a mining company puts Feliciano’s village at
risk and threatens his world and his dreams.
As his beloved alpaca Ronaldo and dog Rambo
vanish, Feliciano sets off alone through rocks
and clouds. Told with quiet strength and
lyrical beauty.
A film for everyone who loves Peru, who feels
drawn to the magic of the Andes, and who is
moved by a story of hope, nature, and a child’s
quiet courage.
Following the screening, there will be a talk with Camila Montero Trujillo from the University of Innsbruck.
