“Terroir” – Tasting Soil

For wine lovers, it’s well known that terroir—the type of soil in which grapes ripen—is crucial to a wine’s taste and quality. But what about other fruits? Find out for yourself: soil expert Thomas Peham from Land Tirol invites you to a “terroir tasting” following the screening of Hannes Jaenicke's: "Im Einsatz für Erde". Together with the passionate actor and environmentalist, you’ll have the chance to taste apples from an organic Tyrolean orchard—each grown in different types of soil. Discover the unique profiles of various soils, and even sample the soil itself. Can your palate detect the subtle differences?
