The Vjosa river is one of Europe’s very last truly wild waterways, flowing free for more than 270km from Greece to Albania. Despite the promises of Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, to protect the Vjosa and turn its valley into a national park, authorities have since approved a number of plans to build hydropower dams on the Vjosa and its tributaries.

The journey leads them through wild landscapes passing some theaters of the Yugoslavian wars before they reach their final destination, the so called accursed mountains in Albania.
