On October 26, 2012, red dust covered the city of Quebec, in particular the neighborhood Limoilou, where Véronique Lalande and her husband Louis Duchesne live with their one-year-old son Leo. Iron oxide, nickel, zinc, copper, arsenic and other heavy metals were found in the neighborhood of the Port of Quebec, home of North America‘s largest hub for nickel. Since then Véronique has been working hard to promote a healthy environment.
